Brian Stann Announces That He Is Retiring From MMA

Former WEC lightweight champion and UFC middleweight slugger, Brian Stann let the word out today that he is hanging up his gloves for good and retiring from MMA after compiling a 12-6 record over the years, he also said he will be looking to continue his broadcast career with FOX over the coming months.

Stann revealed his decision during an interview and comes just months after he lost to Wanderlei Silva via TKO in a memorable battle on the feet.

Stann captured the WEC title from Doug Marshall back in 2008 before engaging in a three-fight series with Steve Cantwell. During his time with the UFC he posted victories over the likes of Chris Leben and Jorge Santiago.
