Nick Diaz on Temporary Suspension by the NSAC Pending Hearing This April

UFC welterweight contender, Nick Diaz has been put on temporary suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission today pending a hearing in April regarding his failed drugs test at UFC 143 earlier this month in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The commission voted unanimously to place Diaz under a temporary suspension until a disciplinary hearing could be held. The hearing will most likely take place in April.

Diaz will have to appear before the commission to address the failed test. Diaz also tested positive for marijuana following a 2007 win over Takanori Gomi at PRIDE 33. Diaz was suspended for six months, but this time he will be looking at a year as it’s his second offence with the same drug.
