Jon Jones vs. Dan Henderson Confirmed for UFC 150 in Las Vegas, Nevada

UFC president, Dana White confirmed that the light heavyweight title will be on the line at UFC 151 in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 1st, 2012 as current champ, Jon Jones takes on former PRIDE and Strikeforce champ, Dan Henderson in the main event of the evening. UFC president Dana White confirmed the news via his Twitter on Wednesday.

Jones has practically ran through the 205 pound division defeating Ryan Bader, former light heavyweight champions, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Lyoto Machida and most recently Rashad Evans. All that’s left in his way is the former Strikeforce and PRIDE two-division champion, Dan Henderson.

Henderson has picked up a number of impressive victories over the past year, defeating then champ, Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante for the Strikeforce title before defeating formerly ranked number one fighter in the world, Fedor Emelianenko at heavyweight and last time out a historic fight of the night and what some say the best fight in the history of the sport, defeating Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.
