Cain Velasquez vs. Antonio “Big Foot” Silva Scrapped, Silva Still Headed to UFC

The heavyweight match up between former world champions, Cain Velasquez and Antonio “Big Foot” Silva has been scrapped after it was revealed that the two men would not be facing each other as rumoured.

The fight was said to be at a yet to be announced UFC 146 card in April, possibly in Atlanta, but a source close to the situation revealed that it’s not the case anymore. Silva is still said to be heading to the octagon and could very well fight on the same card but a different opponent.

Both will be looking to get back on track after Velasquez lost his title to Junior dos Santos and Silva lost in the semi-finals of the Strikeforce heavyweight grand-prix to Daniel Cormier.
