Bellator Middleweight Champion, Hector Lombard Officially Signs with the UFC

Bellator middleweight champion, Hector Lombard’s next professional MMA fight will be in the UFC’s octagon. A source close to the fighter confirmed the news, adding the offer was too good to turn down and that Bellator were unable to match the offer.

Speculation is that Lombard could be paired with UK fighter, Michael Bisping in his promotional debut after both men serve as coaches on the forthcoming TUF: Australia vs. UK series which will begin filming later this summer.

Lombard hasn’t lost a fight in 25 outings, his last lost, and only the second one of his career, came to Gegard Mousasi at Pride Bushido 13 in November of 2006. He is fresh off a second round TKO win of former Strikeforce vet, Trevor Prangley at a catch weight of 195 pounds.
