Jon Jones Now Blaming “The Old Man and His Knee” For UFC 151 Cancellation

Jon Jones has changed his tune once again this time taking to Twitter to take a cheap shot at his former opponent, essentially blaming Dan Henderson for the cancellation of UFC 151.

In response to a fan, Jones, replying to a post via his Twitter account, said

“@AaronDKuehn: Thanks to @JonnyBones I have no plans tonight….”
“Thanks to the old man and his knee I don’t either”

The old man, as Jones likes to call him, Dan Henderson withdrew from UFC 151’s main event eight days out due to an MCL tear in his knee. Jones turned down a replacement bout against Chael Sonnen, which led UFC President Dana White to cancel the entire event and issued a press release that dubbed UFC 151 as “the event Jon Jones and Greg Jackson murdered.”

Jones later apologized for the event’s mishandling, writing on Twitter, “Carrying the cross for my company’s decision. If someone has to take the blame, I will accept full responsibility for the way UFC 151 was canceled.” Jones’ latest remarks, however, probably won’t help the sincerity of that apology.
