UFC on FOX 4: Mauricio “Shogun” Rua vs. Brandon “The Truth” Vera Official Results

UFC on FOX 4: Shogun vs. Vera takes place tonight, Saturday, August 4th, 2012 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The event, which features co-headliners of Mauricio “Shogun” Rua vs. Brandon Vera and Lyoto Machida vs. Ryan Bader airs on FOX following prelims on FUEL TV.

The official results begin at approximately 5 p.m. ET (2 p.m. PT local time) for the preliminary card and 8 p.m. ET for the main card.

On July 30th, 2012, UFC president Dana White confirmed that the winner of the main event will receive a light heavyweight title shot, regardless of how impressive either Ryan Bader or Lyoto Machida were in the co-main event of the evening. However, just 24 hours later, White said whichever fighter puts forth the best performance on Saturday night will receive the shot at the winner of Jon Jones’ September 1st title defense against former two-time PRIDE FC champion Dan Henderson at UFC 151.
