Maia vs. Story, Gonzaga vs. Mondragon, & Cane vs. Camozzi at UFC 153 in Rio

Three more fights have been added to the already stacked UFC 153 card set for October 13th in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil as former middleweight title contender, Demian Maia and southpaw wrestler, Rick Story go head-to-head, former heavyweight title contender, Gabriel Gonzaga faces promotional newcomer, Gerônimo “Mondragon” dos Santos and a middleweight bout between Brazilian heavy hitter, Luiz Cane and former “Ultimate Fighter” cast member, Chris Camozzi will all go down when the UFC visits Rio for the third time.

Maia lost a unanimous decision to Chris Weidman at UFC on FOX 2, prompting him to drop to 170 pounds, where he made a very successful debut, stopping Dong Hyun Kim in the very first minute at UFC 148. Story rebounded from back-to-back losses to Charlie Brenneman and Martin Kampmann in 2011, defeating Brock Jardine via unanimous decision at UFC on FX 4.

Gonzaga retired from the sport after losing back-to-back fights but has since returned to a two fight winning streak including an impressive return to the octagon where he defeated Ednaldo Oliveira at UFC 142. Dos Santos is a veteran, holding a professional record of 34-14, he is currently riding an impressive twelve fight winning streak.

Cane has lost three of his last four fights inside the octagon. His sole win over this period was to Eliot Marshall, Losses to Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Cyrille Diabate at light heavyweight and Stanislav Nedkov at middleweight has got him on shaky ground. Camozzi is currently riding a two fight win streak inside the octagon with victories over Dustin Jacoby and Nick Catone.
