UFC welterweight champion, Georges St-Pierre revealed today that he has returned to Montreal, Quebec, Canada and full-time training for the first time since he seriously injured his knee at the end of last year, meaning the possibility of him fighting in 2012 just got greater.
GSP, posting via his Facebook page, said:
“I’m back in Montreal and full-time training! Already tried a few kicks – right knee is super strong…”
St. Pierre tore his ACL in training late last year and had to undergo surgery and an extensive rehabilitation process. The list of challengers to his title has grown since with current interim welterweight champion, Carlos Condit first in line when the two look to unify the division titles, while Johny Hendricks and Martin Kampmann will fight for a chance at the winner.
