Luiz Cane Injured, Rousimar Palhares vs. Yushin Okami at UFC 150 on August 11th

Brazilian middleweight prospect, Luiz Cane has been forced out of his UFC 150 bout with Yushin Okami in Denver, Colorado on August 11th, and has been replaced by fellow Brazilian and heel hook wizard, Rousimar Palhares. The news was revealed by the UFC earlier today and it is thought verbal agreements are in place on both sides.

Palhares seen his three-fight winning streak come to an end when he faced all-rounder, Alan Belcher at UFC on FOX 3 in May. After securing an early takedown, the Brazilian became overwhelmed, eventually losing via TKO in the very first round.

Okami has lost back-to-back fights inside the octagon to current champ, Anderson Silva and “The Barbarian”, Tim Boetsch. His last win came at UFC 122 on November 13th, 2010, where he defeated Nate Marquardt via unanimous decision.
