Michael Bisping Injured, Hector Lombard Steps in vs. Tim Boetsch at UFC 149

Middleweight contender, Michael Bisping has been forced out of his UFC 149 bout with Tim Boetsch in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on July 21st. Former Bellator champion, Hector Lombard has stepped up after his original opponent, Brian Stann was injured as well. It could be just a coincidence but “The Count’s” injury comes not even 24 hours after Lombard called him out via his Twitter account.

Lombard hasn’t lost a fight in 25 outings, his last lost, and only the second one of his career, came to Gegard Mousasi at Pride Bushido 13 in November of 2006. He is fresh off a second round TKO win of former Strikeforce vet, Trevor Prangley at a catch weight of 195 pounds.

Boetsch was last seen losing the first two rounds to Yushin Okami only to come back and win via TKO. He is now 3-0 as a middleweight since dropping from 205 pounds.
