Fedor Emelianenko Confirms Pedro Rizzo Fight Will Be His Last on June 21st

Formerly ranked number one fighter in the world, Fedor Emelianenko has confirmed his next fight will be the last of his illustrious career.

Fedor, speaking to Ukrainian MMA journalist Artem Yalanskiy, said:

“My previous fight was in Moscow and my last fight will be in St. Petersburg on June 21st. It will be the last fight in my career.”

“Yes. I think it’s time to end my career.”

Fedor has won his last two fights since his three-fight losing streak under the Strikeforce banner, defeating Jeff Monson and Satoshi Ishii in 2011. Prior to that he’d lost to Fabricio Werdum, Antonio “Big Foot” Silva and Dan Henderson. He’ll face Pedro Rizzo on July 21st in St. Petersburg, Russia.
