Nate Marquardt vs. Tyron Woodley and Roger Gracie vs. Keith Jardine in July

Former UFC middleweight title contender, Nate Marquardt will likely take on undefeated Strikeforce welterweight contender, Tyron Woodley for the vacant 170 pound belt and a middleweight bout between two former 205 pounders as Brazilian submission machine, Roger Gracie faces former UFC vet, Keith Jardine, both set to go down at a yet to be announced Strikeforce event in July. Rumors place the fight in Portland, Oregon, with the middleweight title fight between Luke Rockhold and Tim Kennedy headlining.

Marquardt hasn’t been seen since picking up a unanimous decision win over Dan Miller at UFC 128 in March, 2011. He was due to face Rick Story on the UFC on Versus 4 card but failed to pass his pre-fight medical after testing for high levels of testosterone. Woodley is undefeated and is truly the number one contender after defeating the likes of Paul “Semtex” Daley and Tarec Saffiedine.

Gracie hasn’t been seen since he first round TKO loss to Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal. He opened his mixed martial arts career with four straight wins including a submission of former UFC heavyweight champion, Kevin Randleman. Jardine made his middleweight debut against current champion, Luke Rockhold losing via TKO, he holds notable wins over Forrest Griffin and Chuck Liddell.
