XFC 14 Official Results, Jamie Varner Stops Nate Jolly in Just 69 Seconds

Former WEC lightweight champion, Jamie Varner returned to the sport of mixed martial arts just four-weeks after retirement to defeat Nate Jolly via a sixty nine-second TKO at XFC 14: Resurrection, last night at UCF Arena in Orlando, Florida.

Jolly earned an early takedown, before Varner scored one of his own and rained down punches from the top forcing Jolly’s eyes back in his head, and the bout was stopped just after the one-minute mark. Varner improved to 2-1 in his last three fights and staves off the retirement for the time being. Jolly suffered the first knockout loss of his career.

In the night’s heavyweight co-feature, four-time UFC veteran Carmelo Marrero earned a decision win over Scott Barrett. Marrero improved to 4-1 in his past five fights. Barrett seen his two-fight win streak snapped.
