Willamy “Chiquerim” Freire: One and done with the UFC

Brazilian lightweight, Willamy “Chiquerim” Freire has become the latest fighter to be axed by the UFC following his unanimous decision loss at the hands of Waylon Lowe last weekend at UFC Fight Night 23.

The news comes via Brazilian website, Tatame.com.br who confirmed the news with a source close to the talented South American fighter.

Freire was originally due to be in action against Thiago Tavares on the UFC on Versus 2 card on August 1st but was forced to withdraw after suffering a serious knee injury.
