Wanderlei Silva hints Chris Leben next; “Crippler” wants “The Axe Murderer”

Former PRIDE legend, Wanderlei Silva hinted that he’s squaring off with fellow heavy hitter, Chris Leben in his next fight, Gary Ibarra, the manager of UFC middleweight slugger Chris Leben, has today revealed the popular fighter wants to go head-to-head with the Brazilian, making it even more probable that the two will meet next time out!

Wanderlei, posting via his Twitter page, said: “I fight with Chris Leben I think we gonna give great show for the fans”

Ibarra, speaking via MMAWeekly.com, said: “Chris is eager to fight again after his loss to Brian Stann. (He) would like to reiterate his desire to compete against a legend of the sport and personal hero of his in Wanderlei Silva. We have no doubt they will determine the proper match-up so Chris can once again do what he does best, and that’s put on a great show for MMA fans everywhere.”

Wanderlei made a successful drop to 185 pounds when he defeated Michael Bisping last February in Sydney, Australia. He was due to return over the summer months against Yoshihiro Akiyama before a series of injuries forced him to withdraw. Leben stepped up Wanderlei at UFC 116 in July, submitting exciting Japanese product, Yoshihiro Akiyama in the third.
