Vitor Belfort Forced Out of UFC 139, Wanderlei Silva vs. Cung Le on Nov. 19th

Former UFC light heavyweight champion, Vitor Belfort has been forced out of his UFC 139 bout with former Strikeforce middleweight champion, Cung Le in San Jose, California on November 19th. Dana White made the big announcement as the UFC already found a replacement, Wanderlei Silva.

UFC President Dana White, posting via his Twitter account, said:

“Vitor is injured and out of San Jose fight. Now Cung Le will fight Wandy!”

Le avenged the only loss of his MMA career to Scott Smith, a fight he was winning until the end of the fight, when he dominated the American back in June of last year. He hasn’t been seen since as he continues to forge a movie career for himself both in the Far East and Hollywood.

Wanderlei steps up in this on after losing six of his last eight fights including knockout losses at the hands of Dan Henderson, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and most recently Chris Leben.
