UFC may push Pay-Per-View events forward by an hour starting with UFC 129

The UFC are seriously considering pushing all of their Pay-Per-View events forward by one hour beginning them at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT starting with the UFC 129 card next month in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

A source close to the situation revealed one reason is an attempt to attract more viewers on the east-coast. The move would also benefit fans in the UK with events starting at 2am rather than 3am.

Almost half of the population of America is currently in the eastern time zone and this would help gain a new audience in those particular areas. Other considerations include deadlines for the television and print news media which could help with added exposure.
