UFC cut middleweights Rob Kimmons, David Branch and Chris Camozzi

The UFC have trimmed down the middleweight divison just a little more today axing the trio of Rob Kimmons, David Branch and Chris Camozzi following a lack of wins by all three.

Kimmons release was revealed to MMAJunkie.com, Branch revealed the news to MMAWeekly.com, and Camozzi confirmed his release via his official website saying:

“According to the UFC the issue is less about my performance (they offered to give me a recommendation) and more to do with an overloaded roster and not enough fights for us under contract. This has nothing to do with the recent merger.”

Kimmons suffered back-to-back defeats to Kyle Noke and Dongi Yang. Branch went 2-2, losing his last fight inside the octagon to Rousimar Palhares. Camozzi fought the same two fighters, defeating Yang whilst losing to Noke.
