Tito Ortiz Injured, Phil Davis vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at UFN 24 on Mar. 26th

Former UFC light heavyweight champion, Tito Ortiz has picked up an injury requiring extensive stitches and will not be fighting at UFN 24 at March 26th in Seattle, Washington. UFC President, Dana White made the announcement earlier today, adding 205 pounder, Phil Davis will move into the main event of the evening against PRIDE veteran, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira instead.

Davis had been left without an opponent for his UFC 129 bout when the promotion moved Matt Hamill to UFC 130 to take on former champion, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. Hamill was replaced just days ago by Nogueira’s last opponent, Jason Brilz. Davis maintained his unbeaten record with an eighth win in the month of November, beating Tim Boetsch that night. He also holds wins over the likes of Brian Stann and Alexander Gustafsson.

Nogueira suffered a setback in September when he lost via unanimous decision to TUF 8 winner, Ryan Bader. Prior to that he’d scored a TKO win over Luiz Cane and a split decision win over Jason Brilz.
