T.J. Grant Out of UFC on Versus 4 Due to Illness, Charlie Brenneman Left Without an Opponent

The welterweight bout between Canadian, T.J. Grant and former TUF star, Charlie Brenneman has been scrapped altogether from the UFC on Versus 4 card this weekend in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania after Grant withdrew due to illness. The promotion made the announcement earlier today, adding no replacement opponent could be found at this short notice for Brenneman.

Brenneman got him back to his winning ways, after dropping a TKO loss to Johny Hendricks at UFC 117, snapping a six-fight winning streak, when he defeated Amilcar Alves via decision in January.

Grant will need a win this time out if he wants to remain apart of the UFC roster after he had his share of wins and losses during his octagon career, his most loss came from a unanimous decision to Ricardo Almeida in December.
