Scott Coker: Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix could be heading to Canada or Japan

Strikeforce CEO, Scott Coker has revealed that the promotions heavyweight grand prix could be heading outside of the United States, with potential venues in Canada and Japan already under consideration

Coker, speaking via MMAJunkie.com, said:

“This is a world grand-prix tournament, which means we might not just be in the United States. This thing could be traveling.”

Coker goes on to reveal that the promotion has been invited by parties in Ontario to hold and event there, as well as talk of a possible “Strikeforce vs. DREAM” event during the course of 2011, which could host one or more of the tournament bouts.
