Randy Couture vs. Lyoto Machida at UFC 129 mega-event in Toronto, Canada

It appears Randy Couture is not finsihed just yet after it was revealed the legend himself has been paired to face Lyoto Machida at UFC 129 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on April 30th, 2011. Randy Couture confirmed that he had verbally agreed to the fight.

Couture is on a solid three-fight winning streak right now after dropping to 205 pounds, defeating Brandon Vera via unanimous decision and Mark Coleman via second round submission. He moved back up to heavyweight to take on boxing champion, James Toney and won again via submission, this time in the first round.

Machida’s reign as champion was cut short by fellow Brazilian, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua in May, losing that fight via first round TKO. He returned to the octagon to face fellow former UFC light heavyweight champion, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson but lost via split decision.
