Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission Rules Out Drugs For Marquardt

The Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission have today moved to rule out a possible failed drugs test when it comes to the reason why former UFC middleweight title contender, Nate Marquardt wasn’t cleared to fight this past weekend.

Gregory Sirb, the executive director of the state’s athletic commission, speaking via MMAFighting.com, said:

“He was licensed. He completed all his paperwork for licensing probably a week before. I’ve been here 22 years and we do not embarrass . But we would have said, ‘drug test.’”

Marquardt is set to address the issue tomorrow, a time when it could all become clear as to why he didn’t receive clearance to fight and why UFC President, Dana White has been angered so much that he immediately fired him from the roster.
