Mike Swick Injured, Luis “Beicao” Ramos vs. Erick Silva in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

UFC veteran, Mike Swick has been forced to withdraw from his UFC 134 bout with Erick Silva after injuring his knee in training, South-American Shooto champion, Luis “Beicao” Ramos will replace Swick against Silva on the preliminary card of the evening in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on August 27th, 2011.

The UFC, posting via it’s official website, said:

“Mike Swick’s long-awaited comeback to the Octagon will have to wait a little longer after he was forced to withdraw from his UFC 134 bout against Erick Silva due to injury. A replacement opponent for the debuting Silva will be announced shortly.”

Ramos is riding a three fight winning streak which earned him his spot inside the octagon, all of them on the same night at the WOCS’s Grand-Prix. The talented Brazilian has won ten of his last twelve fights. Silva, a training partner of UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Rafael Cavalcante and currently the Jungle Fights champion, is undefeated in the past five years, with a record of eleven wins and only one loss.
