Michael McDonald vs. Nick Pace at UFN 24 in Seattle, Washington

Tachi Palace Fights Bantamweight Champion, Michael McDonald and Ring of Combat Bantamweight champion, Nick Pace will meet in a bantamweight bout at UFC Fight Night 24 in Seattle, Washington on March 26th, 2011. The bout was confirmed by McDonald’s manager Tom Call, stating the fight is official for March 26th.

McDonald fought once for the WEC before it folded, winning impressively with a first round submission via armbar over veteran, Clint Godfrey in the very first round. Prior to that he gained notable wins on the regional circuit defeating WEC veteran Manny Tapia and former WEC Featherweight Champion, Cole Escovedo. The latter avenging his only professional defeat, which also earned him the Tachi Palace Fights Bantamweight title with a second round KO. In the summer of 2010, he was listed has of the top rising stars under the age of 25.

As for Pace, he debuts after pulling off an impressive submission win of his own, this time against Will Campuzano back in December. He was denied a sure “Submission of the Night” bonus after he failed to make weight.
