Matt Hughes cleared of all charges relating to shoving incident in Illinois bar

Former long-time UFC welterweight champion, Matt Hughes will dodge the charge for his involvement in a incident at the Trails End Bar and Grill in Taylor Springs, Illinois after the Illinois State’s Attorney revealed there wasn’t enough evidence to proceed.

Hughes was involved in an altercation with a man and allegedly shoved him into a woman bystander causing her to break her nose. The female blamed Hughes for what had happened and attempted to press charges.

Hughes will continue his career later this year when he faces “Ultimate Fighter” season one winner, Diego Sanchez sometime in the fall, apparently it will go down on September 24th, 2011 in Denver, Colorado.
