Mark Hominick: “Jose Aldo hasn’t faced a top elite striker like myself”

UFC featherweight contender, Mark Hominick is almost looking past his upcoming fight with George Roop next Saturday on the UFC Fight Night 23, speaking about potentially facing current UFC featherweight champion, Jose Aldo later on this year.

Hominick, speaking via HDNet’s Inside MMA, said:

“Aldo has faced everybody — he’s faced top grapplers, top jiu jitsu guys, wrestlers. But he hasn’t faced a top elite striker like myself. I’m going to be in his face.”

Hominick was the promotions first option to face the ultra-talented Brazilian at UFC 125 on January 1st in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was forced to pull out due to a broken hand he suffered before his WEC 51 fight with Leonard Garcia.
