Jorge Santiago draws Brian Stann at UFC 130 for May 28th return in Las Vegas, NV

Sengoku middleweight champion, Jorge Santiago will make his return to the UFC octagon when he faces former WEC light heavyweight champion, Brian Stann in a middleweight clash at UFC 130 in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 28th, 2011, leaving Stann’s original opponent, Wanderlei Silva free to take on fellow Brazilian, Vitor Belfort.

The UFC and Strikeforce veteran recently left Sengoku posting a 7-1 record. During his UFC stint he posted a 1-2 record. After defeating Justin Levens by first-round knockout in his UFC debut, Santiago suffered back-to-back losses to Chris Leben and Alan Belcher. Santiago has fought many of the sport’s recognizable names during his eight-year pro career, including Manny Gamburyan, Diego Sanchez, Jeremy Horn, Trevor Prangley and Siyar Bahadurzada.

Former U.S. Marine, Stann has looked good since dropping to 185 pounds, stopping Mike Massenzio in the third round with a triangle choke before knocking out the always tough, Chris Leben in the very first round just last month.
