Jon Olav Einemo vs. Dave Herman and Joey Beltran vs. Aaron Rosa at UFC 131

The heavyweight bracket at UFC 131 is now complete following last night’s replacement of former champion Brock Lesnar, with promotional newcomer Jon Olav Einemo drawing fellow newcomer Dave Herman, and Joey Beltran takes on former Strikeforce fighter Aaron Rosa. The promotion made the announcements earlier today.

Einemo won his first five professional MMA fights before losing to Fabricio Werdum back at PRIDE 31 in 2006. He rebounded with a win over James Thompson before leaving the MMA world for four years. He returned last June to defeat Kresimir Bogdanovic in Bosnia. He is also the only fighter to defeat multiple-time Brazilian Jiu Jitsu champion Roger Gracie at the Abu Dhabi tournament. Herman has amassed an amazing 20-2 record over his career, with the majority of his wins coming in the very first round. A long drawn out legal battle with Bellator FC saw him take a considerable amount of time off before successfully returning at the end of 2010.

Beltran seen his three fight winning streak, which included a unanimous decision over Tim Hague, come to an end last time out on the UFC Fight Night 23 card in January, losing a war to Pat Barry. Rosa is currently 16-3 overall and was last seen defeating Abe Wagner via submission on the Titan Fighting Championship 17 card in March.
