Jeff Monson vs. Daniel Cormier on June 18th in Dallas, Texas

Former UFC heavyweight title contender, Jeff Monson has received a late call-up to be a part of the June 18th Strikeforce card in Dallas, Texas, squaring off with powerhouse wrestler Daniel Cormier on the main card of the evening. The “Snowman” will step in for the injured Shane Del Rosario.

Monson has competed under almost every MMA organization running, with an impressive record of 42-11 this 2 time ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship winner, and NOGI Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World Champion is certainly familiar with a main card fight. He currently holds the Heavyweight titles in the International Sport Karate Association and the Strength & Honor Championship and holds notable wins over the likes of Roy Nelson, Ricco Rodriguez, Sergei Kharitonov, Mark Kerr and Kazuyuki Fujita.

A former Division I All-American at Oklahoma State University Daniel Cormier is unbeaten in seven fights. Training alongside the likes of UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and welterweight stars Jon Fitch and Josh Koscheck, Cormier’s blend of wrestling and power could pose problems for his opponent in Texas.
