Dave Herman Forced Out of UFC 136 Bout with Mike Russow, Nam Phan vs. Leonard Garcia II Bumped to Main Card

Strikeforce import, Dave Herman has been forced out of his UFC 136 main card fight with Mike Russow, now the promising featherweight rematch between ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ season twelve standout Nam Phan and Leonard Garcia. Reports say that it was an undisclosed injury suffered in training behind Herman’s withdrawal and as of yet there is no word on whether the UFC are trying to find a replacement opponent for Mike Russow.

The fight was scheduled for Saturday, October 8th at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas and was intended to be on the pay-per-view portion of the fight card.

However, now the rematch between the two featherweights that first met at the season finale of the reality show with Phan robbed by the judges who gave a controversial decision to ‘Bad Boy’. Fans are already voicing their opinions on the decision as the lightweight contest between Anthony Pettis and Jeremy Stephens remains on the preliminary card portion of the event.
