Dana White Ends Jon Jones vs. Rashad Evans UFC 140 Main Event Rumors

UFC President, Dana White has ended any speculation that the light heavyweight title will be on the line for the third time this year when they return to Toronto, Ontario, Canada on December 10th for UFC 140. MMAFighting first reported the news that current champion, Jon Jones would face number one contender, Rashad Evans, with Sherdog also confirming the news.

Dana White, posting via his Twitter account, said:

“LMFAO !!!! The day u start believing Sherdog!!! Haven’t people learned that lesson yet!? They are wrong AGAIN!”

Jones would have competed for the fourth time this year, defeating “Ultimate Fighter” season eight winner, Ryan Bader via submission, then light heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua for the title via TKO and also former champion, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson via submission for his first defence just last month. Evans made his return to the octagon following injury picking up a win over former champion, Tito Ortiz in a rematch back in August.
