Dana White Confirms the UFC Will Make the Trip to Debut in Hawaii in 2012

UFC President, Dana White has revealed the UFC are looking to make a long-awaited trip for an event in Hawaii during the course of 2012, adding we won’t necessarily see former two-division champion and native of the state, BJ Penn.

Dana, speaking at the UFC 137 pre-fight press conference, said:

“Next year. We’re looking at next year. It’s probably going to be outside.”

On BJ Penn fighting in Hawaii, White said:

“I don’t know. It’s like that Canada thing when everybody thought Georges (St-Pierre) had to be on the card. It’s great to have him, but it’s one of those markets we’ll kill it with or without him.”
