DaMarques Johnson & Mackens Semerzier Forced Out of UFN 25 on Sept. 17th

Welterweight, DaMarques Johnson and featherweight, Mackens Semerzier have been forced out of their respective bouts at UFC Fight Night 25 in New Orleans on September 17th, 2011. The promotion made the announcement earlier today, adding replacement fights are currently in the works.

Johnson will be looking to rebound from a recent submission loss to Amir Sadollah at UFC Fight Night 24. Prior to that he’s won three fights straight inside the octagon including a TKO victory over Brad Blackburn. “The Ultimate Fighter 11” veteran Seth Baczynski has stepped in for an injured DaMarques Johnson to fight Clay Harvison. Baczynski returns to the octagon on the strength of a two-fight win streak in regional competition.

Semerzier closed his career out with the WEC on three straight losses. He made a good start to his UFC career though, submitting Alex Caceres in the first round.
