Cub Swanson Breaks Whole Left Side Of His Face, Forced Out Of UFC 132

Former WEC bantamweight, Cub Swanson will have to wait a little longer before making his octagon debut after he apparently broke the whole left side of his face, forcing him to pull out of his fight at UFC 132 with Erik Koch on July 2nd in Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s unclear whether the promotion will find a replacement in time.

Swanson, posting via his Twitter account, said:

“It happened in training, that’s all I’m gonna say. We train hard and shit happens. Sorry to all the fans who were excited about this fight.”

Swanson, who will make his octagon debut, hasn’t been seen since picking up a split decision win over Mackens Semerzier at WEC 52 in November. The two were originally set to meet on the UFC on Versus 3 card last month only for an injury ruled Swanson out.
