Could Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley Be Headed Back To The UFC vs. Jake Ellenberger?

It was said that Paul “Semtex” Daley would never again compete inside the UFC octagon again. When Zuffa purchased Strikeforce and Daley failed to capture the welterweight title, it appeared that the Brit’s career in the spotlight could be done. Now it has emerged that ‘Semtex’ is contemplating a fight with the UFC’s Jake Ellenberger. With Ellenberger currently signed to the UFC, it appears that the promotion may never say never.

Daley, speaking via his Facebook account this morning, said:

“Considering a straight back into the deep end fight…Rumour is that Jake Ellenberger wants to fight, I’m always ready for a “Fight”…No point scoring”

Ellenberger silenced the 55,000 crowd at UFC 129 with a brutal knockout of hometown hero Sean Pierson. It capped the fourth straight win for the hard hitting wrestler. Ellenberger has called out both Jake Shields and Jon Fitch in recent weeks but the tables have been turned with this message from the hard hitting Brit. Daley was defeated by Nick Diaz at Strikeforce: Daley vs. Diaz in April which snapped a four fight winning streak since being cut by the UFC.
