Cheick Kongo returns at UFC on Versus 4 on June 26th vs. Pat Barry

UFC heavyweight kickboxing machine, Cheick Kongo is preparing for a return to the octagon on June 26th at the UFC on Versus 4 card against Pay Barry, after recovering from back surgery last December. The bout will will appear on the free television card which is said to be heading to Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Kongo was last seen in action at UFC 120 in October where he took on Travis Browne. Kongo was on route to a unanimous decision win before having a point deducted in the third round for repeatedly grabbing onto Browne’s shorts, which ultimately casue the fight to be called a draw.

Barry returns to the octagon eager to build on his UFC Fight Night 23 win over Joey Beltran in January. Prior to that he’d lost to his idol, Mirko Cro Cop via third round submission.
