Carlos Condit vs. Josh Koscheck at UFC 143 in Las Vegas, Nevada on Feb. 4th

A welterweight bout between two of the division’s top contenders, Carlos Condit and Josh Koscheck will most likely take place at UFC 143 in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 4th, 2012.

UFC President, Dana White, speaking at the UFC 138 post-fight press conference, said:

“Right now, Carlos Condit wants to fight. He wants to fight on the same card as GSP and Diaz, so we’ll see what happens. Koscheck has been offered. It could be with Koscheck. Condit wanted that fight.”

Condit defeated former title contender, Dan Hardy and previously undefeated Korean, Dong Hyun Kim, both in the very first round to become the number one contender for the title and was expected to face Georges St-Pierre next but Nick Diaz was given the go ahead instead. Koscheck rebounded from a title shot loss to St-Pierre with an impressive first round TKO of former long-time champion, Matt Hughes.
