Bob Sapp’s real reason for not competing at Dynamite!! 2010, DREAM are broke

Popular MMA monster, Bob Sapp finally gives his side of the story on why he didn’t take on Wakakirin Shinichi in a modified-rules bout on the Dynamite!! 2010 show on December 31st in Japan, explaining the promotion tried to offer him half the agreed purse because they are broke.

Sapp explained that FEG executive Sadaharu Tanikawa offered him $15,000 shortly after he arrived in Japan, an offer he refused and made a counter offer of $25,000. It is also claimed that Sapp is already owed $50,000 for past appearances for the promotion.

Sapp went on to claim that various other executives continued to negotiate with him right up until the night of the fight and when it was clear he wasn’t going to fight at a knockdown price the promotion announced to the card that the American had lost his will to fight and had asked for more money.
