Bob Arum Says Boxing “Buried” MMA During Saturday Night’s Ratings War

80-year-old, Bob Arum is up to his old tricks once again claiming that boxing “buried” the sport of mixed martial arts when it came to ratings this past Saturday night when the UFC on FOX show was broadcast just prior to Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez III.

Arum, speaking via the New York Post, said:

“They thought they would hurt us. Instead they got hurt because they got buried. But I think the fact they’re just on for an hour helps us.”
