Antwain Britt vs. Danillo Villefort Both Injured, Off Strikeforce Challengers 16

The middleweight bout between Strikeforce heavy hitter, Antwain Britt and veteran, Danillo Villefort has been cancelled after both men picked up injuries in the final days leading up to their fight.

The news was confirmed by Strikeforce CEO, Scott Coker meaning there is an open spot on the Strikeforce Challengers 16 card in Kent, Washinton on June 24th, 2011.

Britt had been looking to make his middleweight debut after losing back -to-back fights to Rafael Cavalcante and Ovince St. Preux at light heavyweight. Villefort was looking to build on his five-fight winning streak. It is unclear whether the California based promotion will look to match them up again in the future.
