Amilcar Alves cut by the UFC after Brenneman loss in Fort Hood, Texas

Brazilian welterweight, Amilcar Alves has today received his walking papers from the UFC, for the time being anyhow, following his defeat at UFC Fight Night 23 to Charlie Brenneman.

The news was confirmed to TheGarv.com earlier today by a source close to the Nova Uniao fighter. His next move is not yet known.

Alves made his North American, as well as UFC debut against Mike Pierce in August of last year losing that fight via submission in the third round, before facing Charlie Brenneman just last weekend at UFC Fight Night 23 losing that fight aswell, this time via unanimous decision.
