Eliot Marshall, resigns with the UFC, vs. Luiz Cane at UFC 128 in Las Vegas, NV

Former TUF Light heavyweight, Eliot Marshall has resigned with the UFC to step in to replace the injured, Karlos Vemola to face Luiz Cane at UFC 128 in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 19th, 2011.

Cane is looking for a win after back-to-back losses at the hands of former PRIDE vet, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and French kickboxer, Cyril Diabate over a six month period. Prior to that he’d defeated the likes of Jason Lambert, Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou and Steve Cantwell.

Marshall was cut from the UFC ranks last year despite boasting a 3-1 record including a split decision win over Jason Brilz. He has since put together another three fight winning streak on the local circuit, which would make you think it’s mainly the reason for his return.
