Jake Shields brings in Chael Sonnen and Ben Askren to prepare for Georges St-Pierre

Former Strikeforce middleweight champion and now UFC welterweight number one contender, Jake Shields has revealed that he’s bringing in former UFC middleweight title contender, Chael Sonnen and Bellator stand-out, Ben Askren to help him prepare for Georges St-Pierre at UFC 129 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on April 30th.

The UFC welterweight number one contender revealed the news to The Fight Show earlier today who posted it via their Twitter page.

Shields is coming off a less than impressive split decision win over Martin Kampmann late last year, a bad performance that he blames the weight cut and in turn his conditioning for in his octagon debut. Prior to that he’d looked good at 185 pounds, dominating the legendary Dan Henderson to capture a five round unanimous decision win.
