UFC 126: Silva vs. Belfort Official “Fight Night” Bonuses

The UFC 126 “Fight Night” bonus awards were handed out following last night’s stellar card in Las Vegas, Nevada, with UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva amongst the winners following his stunning knockout win over Vitor Belfort.

“The Spider” picked up an extra $75,000 “Knockout of the Night” award for his first round knockout of “The Phenom” in the main event of the evening, a blow delivered by the sole of his foot and quickly followed up with punches.

The “Submission of the Night” award went to now number one contender, Jon Jones for his second round guillotine choke of Ryan Bader, while “Fight of the Night” went to the lightweight pair of Donald Cerrone and Paul Kelly, a fight that ended in the second round via rear-naked choke in favour of “Cowboy”. Each man was awarded $75,000.

The official fight bonuses for UFC 126:

Fight of the Night – Paul Kelly vs Donald Cerrone
Knockout of the Night – Anderson Silva
Submission of the Night – Jon Jones

Each fighter received $75,000 extra for their performances in addition to their respective base salaries.
