Wanderlei Silva’s return cut short, pulled from UFC 130 due to health issues

The return of “The Axe Murderer” has once again come to a stand still after it was revealed the former PRIDE champion has ruled himself out of the May 28th, UFC 130 event due to health issues.

Earlier this week the UFC announced a fight between Wanderlei Silva and Brian Stann for their forthcoming card in Las Vegas, although Mreports have surfaced that it was never signed and that Silva had informed the organization that he won’t be healthy enough to compete on the card.

Stann could still compete on the card, although nothing is confirmed at this time. Wanderlei hasn’t been seen in action since he defeated Michael Bisping back at UFC 110 in February last year. It is unclear what the specifics are and the health issues he currently has.
