Antonio “Big Foot” Silva sank Arlovski’s career plans no different for Fedor

Former EliteXC heavyweight champion, Antonio “Big Foot” Silva is less than two weeks away from facing Fedor Emelianenko in the Strikeforce World Grand Prix Tournament, and he states that he shouldn’t be underestimated by anyone, including the fomerly ranked number one fighter in the world.

Silva, speaking via MMAJunkie.com, said:

“They thought I would be upgrading Arlovski’s career. Instead, I sank it a little more. That’s what I’m going to do this time, too. This fight for me is like a final. I’m not even trying to look beyond this fight.”

“I have to be very calm and very focused. I respect him in the same way I respect the other 18 fighters I’ve fought. But I can’t respect him when I get in the cage. Then, it’s about supporting my family.”
