Former UFC lightweight champion, Sean Sherk hopes to be a UFC Hall of Famer

Former UFC lightweight champion, Sean Sherk has revealed that his goal for when he hangs up his gloves is to be inducted into the promotions Hall of Fame, something he believes he’s done enough to earn right now.

Sherk, speaking via Sherdog.com, said:

“I’m not walking away, but if I were to walk away, I’ve done enough in my career to be happy with what I’ve accomplished. I think I’ve cemented my place in this industry [through] everything I’ve done inside and outside the gym, and I’ve cemented my place in the UFC. I hope to be a Hall of Famer some day. That’s my goal.”

“I’ve been a part of this industry before it was big and after it was big. I look at my career as being two different careers almost. The second part of my career has been phenomenal. I got everything I ever dreamt of and more, and it’s just getting better all the time.”

“That’s all I ask for. I want to fight guys who have something to offer me. Guys if I beat them, I’m going to keep moving up that ladder. I don’t want to take a big step down and fight an up-and-comer. I want to fight contenders. I think I’ve earned that.”
