WEC 47: Bowles vs.Cruz fighter salaries

The official fighter purses for those who competed at WEC 47: “Bowles vs Cruz” this past Saturday night (March 6) from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio were released earlier today by the Ohio Athletic Commission (OAC).

WEC 47: Bowles vs. Cruz aired on March 6, 2010. It was held at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

WEC 47 coincided with the Arnold Sports Festival, which annually draws up to 150,000 sports fans to Columbus, Ohio. This was the first WEC event to take place in Ohio. Previously, the UFC held three cards – UFC 68, UFC 82, and UFC 96 – in Columbus during the March sports festival.

Leonard Garcia was set to face Diego Nunes, but Nunes was forced from the card with an injury. Nunes was replaced by George Roop.

Stephan Bonnar filled in for Frank Mir as color commentator, due to training commitments for Mir.

The total base fighter payroll for the Versus TV event was $236,500.

Vasquez defeated Pulver via submission (armbar) in round one

Deividas Taurosevicius– $9,000
Davis defeated Taurosevicius via majority decision
